Club Car Precedent Charging Issue
Have a 2008.5 CC Precedent. Have had issues with it not completing the full charge cycle (battery light flash when unplugging) I reset the OBC a while back and it was good for a while. Now it seems to be going it again, even after trying a reset again. Individual battery voltage is good and pack voltage is where it should be. I’m leaning towards a failing OBC, but don’t want to go throwing money away until I get some feedback.

Re: Club Car Precedent Charging Issue
A few unanswered questions. How old are your batteries. What are the exact individual battery voltages and pack voltage. Are you having problems or is it just that annoying light flashing?

Re: Club Car Precedent Charging Issue
Are you letting the charger run until it turns off, or are you unhooking it.

Re: Club Car Precedent Charging Issue
4years old. 13v,13v,13v,13v and 51v pack.
It has drive issues, but not every time. After a OBC reset the charger seems to run longer. I get the light if I interrupt the cycle or if I let it go well past the 16 hour cycle. |

Re: Club Car Precedent Charging Issue
The light is performing a job and it is letting you know your pack is at less than 90% SOC. If you want to test it, let it complete a full charge, then do not touch it for 12 hours and then take your DVM and check the voltage across the Main Pack Pos and Neg posts.... Should be 50.93 volts....

Re: Club Car Precedent Charging Issue
I’ve left it plugged in well past 12 hours, same result. I believe the charge cycle is being stopped by the OBC, just not sure why. Bad OBC, bad battery, bad charger. Battery’s all seem good voltage wise and pack voltage seems on par....

Re: Club Car Precedent Charging Issue
Does it cut off or just keep running? What is the voltage while charging after this long period??

Re: Club Car Precedent Charging Issue
Do you leave your charger plugged in all the time whenever you're at home?

Re: Club Car Precedent Charging Issue
Charger starts it’s cycle like normal. On off on .....then eventually just goes off like it completed it’s full cycle. Only when I unplug it much later the light flashes and the cart doesn’t operate properly. Pack voltage is at 51v after this. If it ran good even after the light flash I wouldn’t think anything of it, problem is that’s not the case
