Battery post height, too many ring terminals?
Has anyone else had this issue? Once I put all the ring terminals on the battery post there doesn't seem to be too much thread engagement between the nut and battery post.
Only things I have on there right now are the fuse for the controller, the wire for the voltage reducer and the wire for the DVM. It looks like I wont have much thread engagement once I put the ring terminal for the charger on too. Is there another way to arrange all the accessories as to not have them all bolt to the terminal? |

Re: Battery post height, too many ring terminals?
I have a fun, but not always easy solution. I like to shoot dead AXE & DCX controllers. The (savable) bus bars inside are nice thick copper and make a good terminal. Drill 2 holes, bolt one to the battery, the other hole gets all the wires bolted to it.

Move all of them to the other side of the fuse where You can just use a longer bolt.

Re: Battery post height, too many ring terminals?
Aim for the middle, the best bus bars are mostly near the outside edges. The goal here is to destroy the potting, without destroying the copper bars themselves. They run most of the length of the controller. Your results will vary, based on how good a shot you are. 308s rip them up real nice.
