Will txt run Yamaha series motor?
Both Carts are series. Shafts line up. Just don't want to damage the control. I had the Yamaha motor rebuilt for another build that got shelved. I have a couple of txt carts that need motors so figured now os a good time to put them to use if they are compatible. I had always heard they were but don't want to burn the controller.

Do you know the model number of the original and the specs for the rebuild? I'd think the folks who did your rewind could tell you. My impression is that for series, the controllers give the motors voltage and limit amps, so should be the same. SepEx may be different. I Googled "Yamaha Series Motor" and found this, which is advertised as Yamaha and EZ-GO, which tells me splines "should" be the same, but better to confirm.

Re: Will txt run Yamaha series motor?
If your equipment met the specs for a "Ezgo upgrade motor" the other motor would be the same.. likewise if the motor specs says "requires upgrade controller and parts" it would still require upgrading. A motor generally knows not if it's on a Yamaha or Ezgo. (Not 100% perfect, because they run opposite directions). Yamaha motors typically point to "passenger side", while Ezgo motors point to "driver side". Or however you decide to look at it
