You have a Marathon body style cart with a series drive with ESC (electronic speed controller) and a 0-5KΩ throttle.

Here is a schematic diagram for it and a parts manual.

---------
Put rear on jackstands.
Connect a voltmeter between the controller's B- and M- terminals.
Press pedal just far enough to make solenoid click.
You should read battery pack voltage (38.2V when fully charged)

Well, looking through the wiring diagram and the manual....
Can one of you guys tell me how to check the ‘Solid State Speed Control’? I see a sticky on here, ‘Ezgo diagnostics’ that gives clear instruction on the DCS type but really doesn’t say anything about the Series type...

Also the best way to check the motor itself?

I’m going to drive back up to check these things today as my mom is flying into town tomorrow and staying a week, I won’t have another chance to work on it for 6-7 days most likely....

Thanks guys!

Without rereading the original posts (haven't had my coffee yet)...

The Stickies has a lot of manuals. If you can't find your exact one, try downloading the following:

http://products.jacobsen.com/img/manuals/28646.pdf

The "Technician's service and repair manual electric carts" has a very detailed step by step troubleshooting for series, though it may not have your throttle type. Chapter E.

http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...e-testing.html

Maybe try the throttle troubleshooting first, then if it's OK, try Chapter E.

Default 1991 EZ-GO will barely move full throttle?

Yeahhhhh, that stuff is all a little too new for this cart it seems...... I’m told it’s a Marathon Series......

I have the parts manual but not a service manual...

Might you have one for this cart?.... I posted a photo one page back on page 2 I think....

Thanks again guys!

It's too new for mine too, but it works just fine. I gave you two links that I'd think would work for you. Did you complete the throttle troubleshooting already? If not, I'd do that.

Did you do the test johnnieb suggested? He will walk you through the troubleshooting step by step and get your issue figured out. I guarantee it. The guy knows what he’s talking about as much as anyone on this forum, and much more than most. Do his test, report back, and he’ll tell you where to go from there.

So I just put my voltmeter on the pack,... 38.0v.... key on and meter on B-&M- and pressed the throttle just to click the solenoid and I have exactly 38.0v

Hey Johnnie!,
So I did that test,..... Key on and reading 38.0v at the pack..... checked voltage across M- & B- and I am getting 38.0v.... Looking at the manual it say to go to step 16 but I don’t have a 4pin connector.....
