Default Too fast

I want to first apolagize for my bad english, im from Montreal, Canada.

I own a 1981 Club Car.

Got new batteries, new selenoids and I made a refresh of all of the wiring (I change them all).

The wiring job I made, I took plenty pictures, and changed them one by one. So I'm 100% sure they are a the same place then the original one. Maybe the previous owner mixed them up !?!

My problem is with the 'gas pedal'. I can't seem to roll at low speed.

As I lightly press the pedal, the kart go very fast, it's almost as in the Fast n Furious when they put the NOS . My camping is 8km/h. I can't acheive this low speed without pressing the pedal (lightly), then a release it, then press it again, ... and so on.

Did one of you guys had this problem or was face to a similar problem ?

I almost forgot, the problem was the same before the <restauration>.

Hope you might help !

Welcome to the best golf cart forum anywhere!

I know little to nothing about the earlier model Club Cars but it sounds like your speed switch assembly may have been wired incorrectly causing high speed at a light touch of the pedal.

Does the cart run at a lower speed as you continue to press the accelerator?

More experienced cart builders will be along shortly to help you out.

Do you have a row of solenoids at the rear under the seat? If so it sounds like they are not being activated until the last one.

to BGW!

Look in the Club Car Electric "STICKIES" and find the wiring diagram that matches your drive system. Quite likely something is wired wrong.

When I press the accelerator it kicks and then run fast and the speed doesnt decrease as I press more on the pedal

It sounds like the speed switch limit switches are wired to the solenoids incorrectly. If the first switch is energizing the last solenoid, it maybe could cause your issue.

Check out the wiring diagram in the stickies and see if you can trace out where each switch goes.
