2011 RXV intermittent operation
Recently picked up a 2011 RXV that intermittently works. Occasionally I will turn the key, the SOC meter comes alive and reads full charge but you never hear the motor get power and hitting the brake/accelerator results in nothing.
I also noticed that when I turn the cart off if it’s on any grade the cart will move 3-4” before the motor brake catches it. I have replaced the charging port and solenoid, it ran perfectly for a weekend of recreational use(lake cart). This weekend it gave me issues one time, turning it on/off a couple of times made the cart functional. Thoughts on what I replace next? I have a brake pedal switch that I haven’t installed yet. Think it could be the motor brake going bad? Thanks all! |

I agree in the thought of the motor brake being on the way out.

Re: 2011 RXV intermittent operation
Thank you for the input. I guess I’ll get on replacing that. In the mean time, I have this brake pedal switch, but am not sure where it goes. Do I need to pull up the floor of the cart or can it be replaced from the underside?

Yes remove rocker panels and floor mat. Then lift cover to get to the switches and sensors.

Re: 2011 RXV intermittent operation
Several variations of motor brakes.. anyone recommend one over the other. No lift, eventual 20” wheels, rear seats and steep hills.
Thanks |

Re: 2011 RXV intermittent operation
I would get the Oem Ezgo standard brake. #610065 Don't get the HD brake. There are a lot of posts about the HD brake not working with the Danaher controller. Ebay seem to have the best prices.

Motor brake ordered.
Is there anything else I am missing that could be causing this issue? -New charging port -New solenoid -New brake switch (not replaced yet) -New motor brake (not replaced yet) |

Re: 2011 RXV intermittent operation
Well.. I went and looked at a 2016. Didn’t accelerate 1/2 as fast as my 2011. This cart has 20.5” tires but I can’t believe that accounted for all of the difference. I went ready to purchase but walked away due to such a difference. The max speed was 22 GPS so I know it had to be I Freedom mode. Makes me wonder if my 2011 has been manipulated/programmed about factory presents. Every at the complex that we live in says my cart is the fastest cart they have seen(accelerating).
