Default Converting 72v charger to onboard

Does anyone know what it takes to make the Delta Q charger for a 72v Express an onboard charger?

Do mean the standard compact yellow Delta Q charger? If so mine is onboard I have it mounted under the front of my western but people here also put them under the seat. The two charging wires are connected to main pack negative and positive and then the 120v power goes through the charging receptacle hole and mine plugs into the female end of an extension cord. Hope this helps.

Is there any means of making sure the unit will not drive while plugged in?

My cart will not drive while plugged in but I am not sure if that is a feature that is built into the charger or not. My guess is that it is because when I unplug the charger when it is finished charging it makes a faint click noise acknowledging that the charger was unplugged even though it was already finished charging and technically shut off.

The EZGo EXpress does NOT have an interlock so it will drive even while charging. I resolved this. I mounted my charger under the back seat. I added a cord reel to be able to plug in the charger. I routed the DC cable to the dash and connected the DC cable permanently behind the control panel of the dash. Finally, I added a 120v relay to the 120v power cord and cut the ignition wire so that the cart will not power up if the charger is plugged into the wall.
