First thing is to test the battery pack. Connect (-) probe of meter on Battery Pack main Negative (-) post. (This probe will remain on the post for the rest of the testing procedures) Connect (+) probe to the Battery Pack Positive (+) battery post. What’s the reading on that

Battery pack is all the batteries together. To see what kind of voltage your getting there. So set your voltmeter to 200 and put positive probe on the first battery which is the post where the red wire is the only one that doesn’t connect to another which is also the one that comes from the solenoid. Then the negative probe on the other side of the pack which is the black wire that is also the one that doesn’t connect to any other battery.

Ill check tomorrow, I ended early as the sun was going in. And I’m the middle of the yard. I did order a new solenoid. It was only $30 and after dropping all the cash on the batteries I thought why not [emoji24]

How do I by pass the reed switch? Just cut off the actual switch and then wire them directly to each other?

You could just use a length of wire as a jumper and connect it to both components the reed switch is wired to, temporarily.
