Re: EZGO/Cushman
Thanks,
The online spec sheet for this model lists the motor as 22.4 hp (16.7 kw) peak.My unit is not close to these specs( AMT 7142 7.0KW EZGO 615557).Any thoughts on differences? |

Re: EZGO/Cushman
Clyde, I have the same cart, just 1 year newer (201 but should be the same components. When I bought it, the person I bought it from had already turned it up through the Curtis handheld to 19mph. I decided to go the Navitas route with the OTF for my upgrades. I pulled the Curtis and installed the Navitas TAC 2/600 I went from 19mph to 34mph after the controller swap. I have an 89Volt Lithium pack that is supposed to arrive this week to replace my 4 year old Trojans. This should also cut 400lbs off the cart.
My hope is to be around 40-45mph top speed after the Lithium install. It pulls really well now, hoping with the Lithium, it will pull even harder. The OTF allows me to lend it out to friends and limit the top speed to 15mph. The look on their faces when I leave the acceleration turned up but limit the top speed to 15 mph is priceless! Let us know which way you decide to go. |

Re: EZGO/Cushman
Hows the stability at that speed? I feel steering would be sketchy

Re: EZGO/Cushman
I thought steering might be an issue as well. I used to have a lifted G22 that when you got up around 25, things got a little hairy. This pro hauler is tight, it has the factory 20" tires and no wobble at all over 30mph. I'm hoping that stays true over 40mph. If it is sketchy, my plan is to balance the tires at my buddies shop and take it from there. I would like to look into some disk brakes for the front as well but to be honest, the cart is usually cruising around the property at 10mph or less with my wife driving it.
I did just get notice that my battery has arrived so I'm jazzed to go pick it up. |

Re: EZGO/Cushman
Which navitas model did you order? Also where did you order it from? Was the 34mph on lead-acid or was that after the lithium swap? Thanks!
