you were correct. The beep when reversing leads threw me, but I figured no beep in one orientation is still a problem. I ordered a beefed up controller from golfcartking. Hopefully this will hold up better. When I removed the bad controller, I could see one of the studs was slightly discolored. The others were brand new looking. It was also the one that had the continuity issue in forward and reverse. Anyway, the cart is running again. Thanks!
