Default Re: RXV crawling at very very low speed

Three possibilities that will make a RXV crawling slow..... in order of most common.

1 is the speed sensor or bearing encoder. Early units had the bearing encoder in the motor. It's more expensive and takes roughly one hour to change. Ezgo switched to an external one mounted to the outside of the motor later in 2011. It's quick and easy to change.

2 is a dragging brake or one that isn't releasing. Running it like this will take out the controller. If it is the brake, replace with OEM only. The Danaher doesn't like the HD and China knock off brakes.

3 is a failed or out of spec temp sensor. Very unlikely and to correctly repair it would require a motor replacement. A resistor can be installed to trick the controller if you want a cheap repair.

Do you have the advanced troubleshooting guide ?

Thank you to all involved.
The problem was the speed sensor located at the front end of the motor, really straight forward to change.

Thanks again to one and all.
