Default Cart goes like 2 mph. Battery is 50% charged

2012 ezgo lifted
US8VGC BATTERIES
SUREPOWER DC TO DC CONVERTOR
1206HB-5201 250A 12V CONTROLLER

In the past when I get to 50% it would all of a sudden go from 17 to not moving. Now it’s creeping moving at 1-2mph. Everything is stock

Fully charge your cart back up and see if it's still doing it. If so, you're looking at changing the speed sensor out is my guess.

Does sound like a speed sensor failure.

So backwards at 50% it went fine, but FWD it wouldnt go. Charged it to 100% and it works. But as always when it gets to 50% it will jerk, sometimes not go then all of a sudden go.

If i'd drain my batteries to 50% SOC, same thing would happen. The cart goes in limp mode to protect itself. You should always keep the charge above 50% and never goes below, or you'll damage your batteries.

50% on the gauge = EMPTY

Help me understand. At 50% my golf cart goes into limp mode and goes 2 mph?

Look at the chart from sir nuke, the usable span of FLA batteries is from 50% - 100%. Going below, will significantly shorten the battery life. The 50% is the nominal voltage of the battery, 6v, 8v, 12v - don't go below! Some carts goes into a limp mode when voltage is too low.

BTW
With lithium batteries you can go down to ~ 10%...

Is that a function from the Controller?
