Yes, pretty much...
A few options to retain the presets on the radio using a DC converter: 1) Use a converter that provides both a Constant and a Switched +12v output. 2) Add a $5 (36v) relay so You can provide both Constant and switched +12v outputs from your existing converter. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...ml#post10922263) Add a less than $5 (12v) SPDT relay so you can switch the Radio Yellow wire (Commom) from Converter (NO) to the Batteries (NC) when the converter is OFF. This last option will depend on your Radio retaining the settings during the low voltage drop until the relay coil de-energizes and the contacts move back to the Normally Closed position |
