Looks good to me. You probably want to crimp new connectors on the wires anyway, and the power wire will need a ring terminal with that block.

One final suggestion. When you cut the old terminals off and strip the wire for new ones, you may find the corrosion has crept into the wire itself. If so, cut them back until you find good copper wire strands. Hopefully you have enough excess wire to do this. If not, you may have to either replace the wire, or butt-splice a new piece in.
You may want to consider using marine grade terminals. They will be made of a corrosion resistant metal. Be sure and buy the kind that has heat shrinkable plastic barrels. These aren't cheap, and may be overkill. I know you live in Central America, but if you live near the coast, this may not be so overkill. I grew up in Savannah, and the salt air is brutal. Folks who drive where they salt the icy roads probably also experience the same. Keep us posted. |
