Default Hesitation when pressing accelerator pedal

First post guys be nice!

When I press the Gas pedal (electric) all the way down the cart will not go. When you back off about halfway it will go any ideas?

Welcome to BGW!

Several things can cause those symptoms.
Could be a battery failure, or a bad cable, connection or set of contacts, or the motor.
Need the year, model and drive type to narrow it down.

1992 Marathon EZGO

Runs fine if you feather the pedal but if you just mash it down all the way that's when it just won't go.

92 Marathon would have a potentiometer for a throttle peddle signal sending device. The pot could be out of normal range. Pull the 2 wires going to the controller and check the Ω signal. It should be close to 0-5000 through it's range of motion.

I'm having the same problem.

How do you find a potentiometer on a EZ Go Marathon? What happens if the test comes back normal? Any other options recommended?
