I think the most likely scenario is that You have the FNR switch wired wrong.
The two pivoting contacts on the FNR must go to the same coil, in the picture You showed, it is the Armature coil (A1 + A2). If you wired it wrong, it would have worked in forward, but caused the pack voltage to be directly applied to the Armature. The Field coil (S1+S2) would have been shorted causing a field weakening effect. Check all those wires again before applying power, but unfortunately it looks like You fried the Armature on the motor. |
