a good DPI charger you may want to think about

Are you with it in the winter or is it 300 miles away ?

It stays in my toy box trailer at my river storage all year. No power available in storage to keep trailer plugged in to benefit from a smart charger

That sounds like new batteries every year or so is the only answer then.

Actually got almost 4.5 yrs out of the set I just took out and probably could have gone this season on them also. I've owned the cart almost 2 yrs and the batteries were just short of 3 yrs when I got it. It's slow! 10 mph. Runs the same speed even with the new batteries. It's done the clicking on and off while under way since I've owned it. I chalked it up to old/bad batteries. The new batteries helped but didn't eliminate the problem completely.

Solar charger if you have a detachable panel you could leave it out side the trailer and then the batteries would stay charged.

I splurged and bought a plum quick motor a a few other things. I plan on swapping it this weekend. My question now is does the rear part of the body have to come off to do the swap or can i do it with the body on. Perhaps from the bottom? I'm expecting the rear seat to need to come off at least. Is this gonna be an all day affair?

The way I changed my motor was I had no rear seat. I have a DS. I removed the basket, the rear cover, and used a short battery cable on two of the motor post to make a handle. Took the bolts out and pulled it loose from the top, let it down to the floor. It will slide out under the axle without any jacking or lifting anything. Took me about 30 min or less.

I just jacked mine up, put on jack stands and removed it from underneath, heavy bugger but was manageable. It doesn't take long just to swap out a motor.

the PQ will or should be longer then the stock motor . just keep in mind how much clearance you have around the shock mount and leaf springs. look at my pics you can see how close the PQ is ...
