Angry EZGO hub/spindle replacement

'96 EZGO TXT. Have had this cart for 15 years and a month ago replaced the rear hubs for the first time ever. Bought the higher quality hubs that BuggiesUnlimited had. One month later and they are stripped too. The "teeth" are nearly smooth. The axle spindles themselves look good. What the heck?

Buggies Unlimited sells cheap China hubs. Even though they advertise HD they are no better than OEM, maybe worse!?
Find some Ausco replacement hubs #PK2126 and you will never buy another one.
PS
Put never seize on the splines when installing. AND REMEMBER torque the casle nut down to 100 ft #s or it will strip out....hope this helps

Was it a good tight fit when you put the new hubs on? I haven't worked on my cart hubs however I know on my tractor I assumed the spindles looked good and they were actually worn when measured, needless to say I also smoked a new set of hubs after a few weeks due to wobble....

Thanks guys. Do y'all suggest routinely replacing the spindles too? It seemed like a good fit at the time.

Not routinely but, they should be inspected for damage after a hub is stripped out and replace the axle if the splines are damaged.

Being that its the first time the hub stripped, chances are better that the hub was not properly torqued, which cased the second failure, not the replacement hub at fault.
