G14 Piston ring replacement

Now that my rear hub is fixed I am thinking about replacing the rings to get rid of the smoke. Anyone have any insight on what I need besides the rings. Maybe gaskets and ect, plus do I need to take the motor completely out.

I would pull the engine and measure bore and piston. I would also replace rod bearings while it was apart. At a minimum new side cover and head gaskets.
