G29 solenoid testing.
My g29 solenoid has 50 volts to 3 of the 4 terminals. The post that goes to the controller has 0. Does this mean the solenoid is bad?

Re: G29 solenoid testing.
If both of the small terminals have 48v+, the controller is not commanding the solenoid to turn on (by providing B-). What does the cart do? Does the reverse buzzer work? Does the cart resist being pushed around? What is the current battery voltage? (To the tenths please, ##.#)

Re: G29 solenoid testing.
Does the voltage change when key on/pedal pressed? They definitely need to be charged up the rest of the way, and since they aren't charged, I consider them suspect until I see that they will take a full charge.

Re: G29 solenoid testing.
Not to degrade cgtech's outstanding help/posts be no means. You can "bench test any solenoid by removing it, applying correct voltage to the small energizing posts and use a volt meter set on continuity on the 2 large posts. If the solenoid "clicks/activates" when applying voltage, you should have continuity between the large posts. If no "click/activation" bad solenoid, if it clicks and no continuity bad solenoid. Good luck!
