Club car Vs. Ez Go rear end.
Good morning all,
Well here goes my first cart question for you all, Which rear end has better features or which is tougher, club car or ez go? I know garage built used a club car frame with a ez go rear in his drag car. I like the club car frames for the fact they are aluminum. I goto the beach alot and don't want to have to worry about repainting the frame every so often plus the weight. So i am def going club car frame. But what about the rear end. I don't have a cart yet. I trying to decide if I want something with a motor in it or not. Cheers Galloway |

Re: Club car Vs. Ez Go rear end.
There is nothing wrong with either one of them. They are darn near bullet proof. Either one should give 30-40 yrs service with some service every 5 years. Heck I have seen them go over 25 yrs with no service. I don't think you need to worry about this. Aluminum frames are damaged by saltwater. It is called oxidation. It will eat the aluminum away especially when exposed to a beach invironment...

Ya i know about the oxidation. My father in law has some stuff he sprays on the frame to keep it clear.
So there isn't much difference in the rear end? Is one easier than another to find gears for? |

Both are easy to find gears for. Ezgo is by far the cart with the most aftermarket stuff made for it

I disagree about painted steel being better around saltwater than aluminum. First off the white powdery substance that forms on aluminum is the metal oxidizing and protecting its self with a layer of oxidation. Second, Aluminum boat trailers are far better and last 3 times as long as steel boat trailer around saltwater.
