cart will not start
I would like to say that I have checked everything, but if I had, it would be running.
The electric starter motor turns it over, but the gas motor will not start. It is getting fuel and the plug is fireing, but nothing. I have traced every wire to make sure they are connected. Can these things jump time. Is it possible for the key on the shaft to have broke and be letting the plug fire out of time? Bruce |

Re: cart will not start
2 strokes dont like cold, maybe you should try a hotter plug, just dont melt a piston.

Re: cart will not start
Was it running before and quit or did you get it not running?
can you tell if fuel getting in the cylinder, is the spark plug wet or dry? Can you hear any hissing or whistling sound when you try to crank it? |

Re: cart will not start
When I got the cart it was running. Then just out of the blue it was like it ran out of gas. Then as quick as it stops running after a while of trying to start it, it starts running again. Almost like it has a short in a wire.
I have checked every wire. I have tried a new plug The plug is wet with gas I test it by gounding it against the head I have not checked the compresion. I was wondering if the key on the crank shaft could have broke and be catching enough every once in a while for it to start. Bruce |
