Default dont know anything

Just got my first cart G1. it has been sitting in a guys yard for 3 years. changed out gas he said oiler did not work I mixed 50:1 changed battey fabricated the linkage that goes to an exhaust port replaced carb and plug. it will run but i have to push it to get it to go. is the clutch bad or drive belt maybe just belt dressing. also once it gets going it will bog down and backfire. is this like a weedwacker if the muffeler gets clogged take a torch to it to clean it out? any help would be greatly appriceated.

Thanks for the advice from what I have read these G1's if you get them running right will push 25 mph. I will take some pics and get them on here for the transformation from flat tires cracked fiberglass and sap from a piss elm to what I hope to be the sharpest 82 G1 ever.
