Throttle Cable Adjustments after New Carb Installed?
2008 EZGO Gas 295 CC TXT Model: Is it necessary to readjust the throttle cables forword and rear adjustments, and governer linkages after replacing with an aftermarket carberator? Also, what about the choke cable position?
Seems I have to choke it to get it to accellerate from a dead stop when cold. Then hesitates bad when pedal is even floored when hot, then it finally moves. Also, seems to lack power on hills. Seems the old carb acted better, but backfired a lot. This one backfies as much if not more. Vales check ok, new plugs installed, and timing is right on the mark according to last mech. As I'm not at all familiar with engines, I've already had four mechs work on it and charged me. But not one has indicated they have even looked at the throttle plate position, or the cable adjustments. So I'm looking for help on here to ADVISE the next mech what to look for. |
