missing wire?
so I am trying to install a reversing contactor in a 93 DS solid state 36 volt cart. according to Scottyb's instructions I am to connect a solid green wire and solid white wire off of the ms3 on the old forward and reverse switch. the ms3 on that switch only had one wire which I believed was a black wire. there is no solid green wire in that location, now there is a solid white which I cant remember where it went on the old f/r. any clue would help thanks

Re: missing wire?
I can't answer your question but this should be the wiring diagram for your cart, maybe it will help you figure it out.

Re: missing wire?
ms3 is the switch closest to the rear of the cart. It is the only micro-switch (ms) with 3 tabs.
In the case where your cart has only 2 tabs on the ms3 as shown in the diagram above do not connect these 2 wires as that will induce reduced (reverse) speed. The cart should run with or without these 2 wires connected. I suspect the trouble not running is else where. Can you post a couple of pictures of the installation? |

Re: missing wire?
If you set the meter to ohms Ω. Then pull wires 2 & 3 off of the controller ansd plug a test lead in each one. The pedal should read 0-5000 through full travel
