Lestronic II by Lester electrical model 07850 will it be ok with my new batteries?
So I just bought some new 6 volt batteries for the used 1997 club car ds I bought. The fellow threw in a Lestronic II charger. I used the charger with the old batteries and it seemed to charge them as much as it could and then it cut off. The batteries were about 5 years old and I used a voltmeter to test them and after a full charge they read around 5.8 to 6.0 but after I drove the cart for only 5 minutes it would barely make it back. So I assumed I needed new batteries. My question is how would I know if this battery charger works correctly? Or should I not use it to charge the new batteries and just get another one? I also bought this other charger club car from Craigslist for $30. Which one is better or both no good for the new batteries? Thanks for any help

Do you have a 36v cart?
And at 5.8v your batteries are dead |

See the chart for SOC (State of Charge) Should be 6.37v/battery

The Lestronic II is the better charger, as it's fully automatic and doesn't use a manual timer like the other one (no guesswork).

Ok thnx yep so batteries definitely shot but I was kind of worried my charger wasn’t charging them but it does turn on and hum and then cuts itself off. I guess it’s all good?
