Re: 4 gauge battery/motor cables?
For a short answer, don't do it, use 4 gauge welding cable. This has been talked about many times before, run a search on "4 gauge welding cable" for more info.

Re: 4 gauge battery/motor cables?
Is 4gauge enough? i see some ppl using 2ga wire. Im looking to get about 25mph maybe more money permitting out of my cart and prob using the axe 450 or 500 amp controller depending on final cost...

Re: 4 gauge battery/motor cables?
IMHO 4 gauge is plenty. I know that some use 2 gauge and even 0 gauge, but unless you are running more than 48 volts I beleive it is just overkill. Just my two cents.

Re: 4 gauge battery/motor cables?
Great thanks! I priced out the cable and connectors and got about 70$ + my time to put all together then i found this set from one of the sponsors for bout 115$ i think thats resonable enough. Just wanna make sure its the correct one for my cart? I got a 96 ezgo txt series cart.

Re: 4 gauge battery/motor cables?
For $115, if they are crimped, soldered and shrink wrapped, I'd say not a bad price.
Only thing possibly cheaper is doing it yourself without counting your labor costs. |
