Question Paint

I going to refurbish my 91 marathon to include painting. i believe the body panels are aluminum, how do these accept paint. and are there places that sell the rubber trim on different panels.

Panels are steel not aluminum.

I have a 92 marathon, and was wondering about changing the body, has anyone done this or is it just not worth the work?
