Re: Prices of EMP motors??
Not sure on those two, I got a LR 5.4 for $350 (no exchange). Extra $100 for the switch kit.

96 EZGO Medalist. I love it, check out my post just below this, it is titled 96 TXT upgrade (cart is actually a medalist). Read my last reply, 23 mph is incredible!

Re: Prices of EMP motors??
i have a 95 TXT. I need more torque and I want a little more speed. Currently with 22" Strykker tires I only get 11.2 mph. I think I am going to put the Alltrax 4844 in it and then add the LR 3.1. As far as top speed I only want 15-16 mph, but I definitely want some more torque.
The only thing that worries me about adding more torque and more speed is causing more stress to components in the rear end. |

Re: Prices of EMP motors??
So, I guess EMP has recommended the LR 3.1 for your setup and goals? And the 400amp controller also? I trust them, I don't know about the rearend components, but, 16 mph and a little more torque shouldn't be a problem (I'm no expert).

Re: Prices of EMP motors??
I haven't actually spoken to them yet over the phone. I have e-mailed Andrea and she e-mailed me back with some questuions. I am waiting on an answer from her. I told her that based onb what I saw on the website that I assumed that the 3.1 would work for my purposes or the 5.0. I could just take the 5.1 and wire it for torque only now and then give my self the option for speed in the future. My decision will most likely be based on price difference between the two.
