Default engine overheating

I was reading somewhere on a forum if you run a golfcart engine at full throttle for a extended time it wouuld over heat. I would like to know if its true. I personaly don't see how because it has a cooling fan like all other small engines. We use generators and trash pumps at work all the time and their run about all day wide open and never have any problems. I was just curious about what everyone thought since summer is coming up. Also if additional cooling was needed I saw a small electric fan at advance autoparts that mounts infront or behind a cars radiator that would mount perfectly on the bottom of the seat on cart. Has anybody tried anthing like this for extra cooling?

extra cooling isn't a bad idea but if your cart has clean fresh oil and the fan isn't plugged with grass and stuff you shouldn't have an issue. if your still worried about it run full synthetic oil in the motor, it will resist thermal break down better, and is all around better.

I think overheating is a problem on carts with bypassed governors. If your rpms are kept reasonable it shouldn't be a problem....

The only time i've seen them overheat is when something else is wrong like running lean condition then have somebody run the piss out of it.
