Default Torque Converter

I'm looking at dropping a 16-18 hp Vanguard (Briggs) engine in my Ezgo Workhorse cart. It appears that Comet is no longer in business. Can anyone steer me to a supplier for a belt clutch for a 1" shaft or can anyone tell me if the comet clutch I have from a 295cc Robin which appears to have a tapered shaft (waiting on puller) will fit a Vanguard tapered shaft engine.

Thanks

Contact site sponsor Carts Plus Parts http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/site-sponsors.php
They have both an adapter for your old clutch and great new Clutches

I just put in a 16hp Duromax and found a CVT clutch on Ebay for the 1" shaft . It was $130. Had to put in a spacer so the clutch would not engage so fast, but works very well and is very easy to take apart to adjust without flying apart. Overall it is a good package.

I've decided to go with a 23 hp Vanguard. Bought a 6" lift kit and plan on 22" tires. Can anyone tell me what mph I should expect? Some pics of the fram damage we're repairing this weekend.

Brad came over yesterday and we replaced the cancer on the frame. Incedible welder. Will post some pics tonight. Installed the front axle (6" lift), waiting on tie rods.
