Default 95 Medalist dash removal

I want to install a light switch in my dash. What is the best way to do that. It looks like I may have to drill out the rivets around the black trim of the dash. Anyone else every done this??? Also what are these clone engines some you guys are talking about?

Those are push rivets, just drive the center pin on thru with a nail or such ....

As to the second part of your question, the clone engines are copies based on popular "brand name" models by Honda, etc and are sold by stores such as Harbor Freight, etc at a MUCH lower price than the original engines (they're generally manufactured in China etc)

Thumbs up Re: 95 Medalist dash removal

Thanks for the info... I guess I can buy new rivets form a dealer. Also thanks for the answer about the clone engines. I was wondering about that cause I'm thinking about an engine swap later on!!!

There is considerable modification needed to install and run the clone or any other non OEM motor..... there is plenty of info here on the site worth reading before you commit
