Default 2003 DS alignment

For alignment, can I do the camber and tow without the cart loaded with the 400 pounds of batteries? Just finished up new front end and I would like to do it before I put the batteries back in. I can wait but would like to do it now.

I can see the camber might be off somewhat but I think tow would be ok to adjust?

For camber, the front end bushing kit
& sometimes a new heavy duty spring is needed.

Check the ball joints on the steering arms too. Should be good & tight.

Tow in/out is adjustable.

Thanks Golferdave! Front end is all new, spring, bushings, kingpins (reamed to fit by machine shop), tie rod ends and bearing packed.

I got to thinking about it and said to my self, you wouldn't do an alignment on an auto with the engine out! LOL! So I will wait until the batteries are in to do it.

So I think I did not have enough coffee before I posted!

There's an "eccentric" bolt in the center - on the bottom of the front leaf spring
I't adjustable to slide the spring left/right
the front end camber its a parallelogram so you adjust for a happy medium of the front tires.

driver & passenger weights change the front end camber as the spring flexes

Thank you for the explanation.

Plan to do an Alaskan cruise someday. I went to Anchorage a long time back in the winter and learned how to ski! Portage glacier was a sight to see!
