I should add, for others who are reading this thread, that the relay is only necessary if you have a 4-wire reducer and want it to turn on and off with the key.
If you buy a 5-wire reducer it basically has the function of the relay built-in. The 5th wire (the trigger wire) is connected to the cold side of the key switch and turns the reducer on and off. By buying a 5-wire reducer you will save the cost of the relay and the hassle of wiring it in. Get a good one from one of the site sponsors. |

My Precedent had a spot on the front of the steering assembly with predrilled holes that were perfectly spaced for the mounting holes of the voltage reducer.
