V-Glide to mcor wiring confusion
Hi guys, I've got a 96 club car ds 48v. I recently changed out the v-glide box to an mcor4 i believe. The mcor wiring harness goes from 2- blue and green wires, 3 - yellow, purple with white stripe, and a white wire. This goes into another harness that changes the white wire to a black wire.
The harness supplied in the kit is a triangle shaped harness and a round type black connector. What I did was cut the harness at the opposite end, and attached my old 5 wire connector from the v-glide to the appropriate wires on the new harness so that I could plug it in where the old v-glide used to connect to the main harness. Am i doing something wrong? I can't get the cart to do anything, no solenoid click or anything... Please see attached pictures |

Re: V-Glide to mcor wiring confusion
On the connector with the Blue and Green wires, unplug it and install a paperclip in it and see if operates then. If so, it is a faulty microswitch inside.

Re: V-Glide to mcor wiring confusion
I have not done the paper clip test as of yet. I did install my old v-glide and everything works like normal again. I just cant for whatever reason get the mcor to work.
The place I bought it from said that there is no v-glide to mcor conversion available.... is this true? I have my doubts |

Re: V-Glide to mcor wiring confusion
That is not true. Here https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/p...conversion-kit is the Pre-MCOR to MCOR Conversion Kit. If yours did not look like this, then send it back and get this one as this one works and was made by Club Car. It is designed to work with DS carts that originally had a Pot Box or V-Glide....

Re: V-Glide to mcor wiring confusion
The kit I have looks identical to this. But as you can see in the images, the original harness uses a 5(6)pin connector vs the one that's included in the kit which uses a more triangular 3 pin type connector, with the green/white & blue cable being external.
I tried wiring mine up color for color, but somewhere I must be missing something because after everything is connected I get nothing when pressing the pedal in F or R. Works fine as soon as I put the v-glide back in. Any ideas?? Mcor bad possibly? |

Re: V-Glide to mcor wiring confusion
Can You post a picture of your VGlide, even better if you can open it to see where the wires are connected inside.

Re: V-Glide to mcor wiring confusion
Sorry, I should have been more specific, the wiring connections are on the other side of the VGlide where the yellow, Purple and White/black connect.
There is a possibility someone changed the wiring in the past and the wire colorw no longer match. You can also verify the MCOR is working properly by using You multi-meter. Set your meter to "continuity" and disconnect the 2-pin connector from the MCOR. Between Blue and Green/White should have continuity only when the pedal is pressed. Set Your meter to 20kΩ and disconnect the 3-pin connector from the MCOR. Between the Yellow and the Purple wire Should have less than 500Ω with pedal UP and approximately 5kΩ with pedal Down. |
