'86 Club Car DS Conversion to 48V Wiring
I have finally amassed all of my parts (High amp F/R switch, Curtis 48V high amp solenoid, Curtis diode, 500A Curtis controller and 7144 motor) and am getting ready to install in my cart (I also grabbed a Lester II onboard charger). I hope to be doing the fitment this week and am curious if there is a wiring diagram out there that I could follow?
I tried using search but didn't seem to find what I needed. This will be a complete redo so nothing from the original cart (because there was nothing with it!) is being reused. I just received everything today (without any instructions) and thought I would ask here before contacting the supplier. Thank you in advance; much appreciated! |

I would just follow the diagram that's in the manual for your Curtis controller. That's what I did when I converted my cart to SS.

Re: '86 Club Car DS Conversion to 48V Wiring
The only problem is that I did not get a manual I'm going to do an online search also but thought maybe there was a whiz bang solution with good tips on here also :)
Couple of pics (since I took them anyway) of what I'm trying to wire up. Thank you! |

Are you doing the same as what I am doing (36V resistor conversion to 48V SS?). I think the guy "helping" me with parts got me set up on the 48V stuff correctly but then brain farted and led me on a search for some old resistor stuff that is not compatible. You can PM me if you like for more info as well |
