Digital battery meter acting up
Hello everyone! A while back I purchased a digital battery meter, installed it and all has been good. However, this morning I went to drive my cart (it had been on the charger over night), and when I turned the key on and the meter started counting down then up very rapidly. I pressed the foot pedal down while in reverse and I didn't hear the solenoid actuate. I switched it to forward, no movement, didn't hear the solenoid click, nothing. I stepped away from the cart and came back about 20 minutes later, and the same thing happened.
Any ideas as to what might be going on here? Any troubleshooting suggestions? Thanks in advance, Ron |

Re: Digital battery meter acting up
Update: An hour has passed, I went out and turned the key on and the digital battery meter reads 47.3. I pushed the pedal down and this time I could hear the solenoid "engage", but no movement and the meter started acting all wonky again, rapidly counting up then down.

Re: Digital battery meter acting up
You got a volt meter to check the actual voltage of the pack? First Verify that you have enough voltage to run cart, then start trouble shooting wiring/connections to volt meter.

Re: Digital battery meter acting up
Brad, thanks for the reply! I went to check the batteries with my multimeter, and nothing. After further inspection I discovered one cable had 2 band ends, and two other cables had one bad end each. I went ahead and ordered a new cable kit from ScottyB and will go from there.

Re: Digital battery meter acting up
I'm betting that's the problem....you probably see better performance from cart also.
