1992 Club Car Takes Off
Hi,
So I also have a 1992 club car and it randomly took off an started moving at a steady speed with out pushing the pedal the. The unit then burnt a wire that I replaced and now the cart won’t move. If I bypass the solenoid I can get the cart to just start moving again with no pedal... any thoughts on this one? Thanks in advance! |

Re: 1992 Club Car Takes Off
You probably have a resistor cart which has a bunch of coils behind the batteries? And a pie-shaped wiper switch connected to the pedal linkage?
It sounds like you have at least a bad solenoid, but it could be multiple things. Melt downs like that are pretty common on resistor carts. If that’s what it is, you can convert it to a solid-state system as well. Check out the upgrades at cartsunlimited.net. |
