That makes alot of sense, honestly I just want another 4 to 5 mph to the cart. I mainly drive it in my neighborhood, and no offroading. I want to be able to haul 4 people without the struggle if that makes sense.

This is something I have never really thought about. If you can test a sepex motor with straight battery or 2 going to it, why can't it be run that way? He doesn't have a controller.

Are you saying, like just buy 48v batteries and that will give me a boost?

No. I'm not suggesting you do that. Some people do that with 36 volt series motors. All Club Car sepex motors are 48 volt and have controllers. However, they can be tested with a 12 volt battery. I have never thought about running a sepex motor without a controller and wondering if it could be done.

You have a 1987 with five 36 volt solenoids. While your motor should be OK at 48v, I don't know about the solenoids lasting.

but you think the cart would actually be faster if I tried to do the 48 v batteries? Do solenoids exist that can withstand 48v batteries??

Yes. A 36 volt motor running at 48v will be faster.

48 volt solenoids will handle 48 volts. I have never done this on a 36 volt multi-solenoid cart, but see no reason it will not work.
