Installed wrong OBC on 02 club car
Am I the only one?
Working on 2002 club car, serial AQ,cart not running, bad obc,? PN 21155-02 was on cart, read up on Internet, this cart should have 27085-11(1033594-01)? Anyway ordered wrong obc, question what happens when you install wrong obc? 1-charger doesn't come on? 2-cart doesn't run, unless you add 48 pos to light blue wire, going to controller So my other question is ,what is the correct obc for this cart? |

Re: Installed wrong OBC on 02 club car
I am not familiar with the part #. You do need a 103359401 for the model/year cart. See it here https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/p...c-ds-iq-system
But honestly, for that kind of money, I would return the one you have and purchase this charger https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/p...rger-13-18-amp so you no longer need and OBC and this is the best charger on the market today.... |

Re: Installed wrong OBC on 02 club car
I would have to agree. The Club Car OBC system was ahead of the curve back in the mid- 1990's, but the market moved on. A modern smart charger will do all the important things an OBC was designed to do, but not lock out the controller if something goes awry. If you sell the Power Drive charger now, to someone with a still functioning OBC, you can recoup much of the investment in a newer smart charger and save the expense of the replacement OBC.
