Default Parking brake function with electronic gas pedal

Anyone else successfully converted a 36 volt club car ds to 48 volts with the carts unlimited kit? With the gas pedal electronic now, no connection to mechanical brake shaft under cart. The brake still works, but parking brake doesn't. Does this make sense to anyone??

As far as I know the parking brake still works it just does not automatically releases by pressing the new hall effect accelerator pedal.

Thanks for the reply. The problem im having is the shift that holds the parking brake "teeth" is now freely rotating because the gas pedal is no longer holding it in place. Any ideas?

I don't have any experience with those carts but looking at the diagram it seems like as long as the old accelerator pivot rod is still in place in should work as before.

Did you totally remove all of the accelerator hardware with the pedal?

Is it possible to just cut off the pedal "arm" that protrudes above the floor board but leave the rod and springs underneath the cart in place?

I know a lot of members have done that conversion so hopefully someone with more knowledge on that conversion will help.
