Default Jumpy on Incline

I have a 2016 Precedent Golf Cart, 48 volt. I noticed while riding recently that it was a little jumpy while going forward up an incline. It’s like it would move, stall, move, stall. It did it a couple of times that day then stopped doing that. On level and downhill it seemed fine. I keep it on the charger when not riding. Any idea what might be going on?

Battery voltage dropping off underload causing the solenoid to drop out... then load off, the power comes back, solenoid closes again this jerks the cart forward until voltage drops again causing a repeat of the cycle.

first verify the voltage drop is happening and is the problem. Second get new batteries... or if you are lucky fix the dirty connections between batteries and the solenoid.

I would do this by doing a load check on the batteries?

Connect the meter to your pack positive and negative battery posts.

Verify you have the meter connected to the right locations by checking the voltage, it should be around 51v.

Drive up the same incline as before and notice the voltage on the meter as the cart is doing the "jumpy" behavior.

If the voltage is dropping below 44v you likely have tired/end-of-life batteries.

If your 2016 came from a Golf course and those are the original batteries, you have already exceeded their life expectancy.
