Ezgo speed chip
So I was cruising around on eBay and found a guy that is making red and blue chip together in a harness with a switch to go on the dash to change back and forth???? Anyone have an dealings with these yet?

Re: Ezgo speed chip
This one makes it totally adjustable......you plug it in and it has a setting for all 4 original plugs.

Re: Ezgo speed chip
Real simple to do. Takes a few dollar of plastic parts, wire, and a switch or two.

A buddy of mine bought one and he said it worked pretty good.

Re: Ezgo speed chip
Definitely the way to go. I had mine setup with just a toggle on the middle wire of the freedom mode plug and could switch back and forth between freedom and mild hill with the flip of a switch. I never pursued adding the other modes because I just didn't need them.

Re: Ezgo speed chip
Sorry guys, I just like a series. You set everything on max and away you go.
Regen doesn't make sense in my neck of the woods. I never brake downhill. I can coast down or run all out, and have enough momentum to get me a good ways up the next hill. Do the math. All mechanical friction is the same. Rubber to wire to silicon to lead/acid, then back, just has too many losses. AGAIN, that's if you don't brake going downhill, which I never do. My gas pedal rarely leaves the floor. |

Re: Ezgo speed chip
I don't think I've ever set foot on a golf course, and never played. For something like golf, regen prolly makes a lot of sense, as you're stopping a lot. Also, if you live where there are hills steeper than you like going down all out, regen also makes sense.

Just sayin' I don't think regen makes ANY sense for me, but recognizing that it may make sense for some.

Re: Ezgo speed chip
You'll probably notice that I do a LOT of posting, then come back and add caveats. Probably the result of having worked for decades in places that had policies that didn't allow for supervisory over-rides, where they didn't make sense.
