that's a fact......and had I not already bought my batteries and committed to the rebuild that I did.....I most likely would have gone 48v........and will when its time for a new pack.

30 mph in a series cart is expensive anyway you slice it.

I would go up in voltage first with cables etc... Your stock motor will be fine on 48 so the last thing I would do is the motor.
