1984 G1 Steering
I have a 1984 G1 and the steering is so bad I can't hardly turn the wheel. It's been fine for as long as I've owned it and it has sat in the garage for a while and not I can hardly drive it because of the steering. What adjustments should I make and what parts should I replace. There is a lot of play in the steering and I sure a lot of the parts are just wore out.
Thanks in advance Last edited by wildman1; 04-12-2015 at 10:35 PM.. Reason: Add to description |

Re: 1984 G1 Steering
There is an adjustment on the steering box. I would start there. Also, try using grease in the steering box instead of gear oil. It will help take some play out of it. I just replaced the steering gear box and column on one of my G1s because it had a ton of play in it.
