Default 07 G29/YDR blue SMOKING

I have an 07 YDR I just got from a fleet. Was good all summer now smoking. Check carb, air cleaner and put in new plug no luck. Checked compression it was at 98psi. Don't know what is good or bad have no specs. Any help would be great.

98 is terrible. U need a rebuild. Always use OEM air filters, AFE "k&n style"is ok. The real "K&N" is trash, will kill your engine (engine breathes air that never went through the filter). Cheap paper aftermarket air filters have bad quality rubber seals that also dont seal well (or disintegrate & get into the engine). Its too late for any cheapo fixes...... 150 compression is ok for a used motor.

Like CG said, 98 Lbs is not good for compression. You can try the old faithful oil test, by putting a tablespoon of oil into the cylinder and rechecking compression. If it goes up significantly, the rings are bad. You may also want to check your valve lifter clearance. If they're adjusted too tight, compression will leak out. But I guess the real clue is the blue smoke. If that's what you're seeing, it's probably oil, and that points to bad rings as well......
