Default New golf cart.

Just picked up a 2015 Yamaha gas cart.

Has 50 hours. Previous owner didn't have any paper work or owner manuals. When should I chant the oil on this thing? Also, anything else I should do?

Says fuel injected on the side. I'll take a look at that manual and change the oil. Has 50 hours currently. What oil are y'all using?

I use 5w10 Mobil 1 extended performance full synthetic. Change it once a year.

That is a 2015 Yamaha Adventurer 2+2 EFI. I just bought a 2016 and love it.

Here's the link to the manual: https://www.viewmastercms.com/assets..._CC_031215.pdf

Get that oil changed soon, and if you want to totally unleash that cart, spend $200 with Don Plowman (http://www.plowmanscarts.com). My cart is easily hitting 28-30 mph now, has a ton more low end power, and is really just a blast to drive.

Just because one uses synthetic oil - it doesn't mean you can run it longer in an engine. Does this engine have a filter?

I change the oil in my cart because the oil has reached the contamination limit. In 25 hours the oil has reach a level of contamination with dirt - carbon - acids - metal shavings that it becomes harmful. It doesn't matter if its 5 dollar a qt oil or 10 dollar a qt oil. It has reached Its ability to safely lube the engine. Most cart engines do not have oil filters so it's like a fancy lawn mower engine. Another thing about oil is that it needs to come up to running temperature to cook off the water that accumulates in the engine. Most carts are never run that hard.
