Default 88 Club Car Gas runs great uses oil

My 88 Club Car is in great shape except it uses oil. Any quick fixes out there, if not will a piston and rings do the trick? If so where to buy?

Excessive oil use would certainly point to an issue with piston /ring clearance. Does your cart "smoke" ?

Smoke what ??

How about to start with is to
1. Run a tank of sea foam threw it for a week.
2. Drain some oil out and install something like JUNK motor flush.
3. Install new oil and see what happens

I have brought back many machines to great running using the method.

Sea Foam is MAGIC in a can.

Yes it does, typical with bad rings.

I'm not going to enter into a dispute about the relative merits of "Seafoam" or any other proprietary additives but I have yet to see any of these snake oil products cure a set of worn piston rings. Clean fuel injectors ? I'll buy it, free up sticky valves in an automatic transmission ? ok, but nothing ever invented is going to restore lost compression to a worn engine and if you buy into that you are delusional. I have been in the auto industry for more years than I care to think about and if the answer to a knackered motor was as simple as a can of Seafoam or "Junk motor flush" I guess no one would ever need a new or rebuilt engine would they ?
