you may want to check the crank seal fuel pump works off of crankcase pressure jack it up and spray wd/40 behind the clutch and see if it takes off

ok sprayed wd 40 no change but the new plug got it running, back to square 1, sluggish take off here and feel a jerk and squeak then you can go anywhere you want to go as long as you keep it rolling (drove it about 4 miles today), im used to motorcycles and atvs with plenty of power so tell me should the cart bog down on a hill and just sit and strain or should the tires break traction and start spinning? it has normal 18in tires. itis almost like i need to try a shorter belt, the previous owner says he thinks its the carb i really dont have the money to just throw new parts at it, and im not sure if i have the know how or tools required to fix the problem if its not the carb, it is 2 weeks today that we bought it and from what ive seen i got a good deal in it but I do not know what all has and has not been done to the cart, should i move on to a new carb or try a shorter belt or both? would it run better if i hook the governers back up? running 1.5 oz to 1 gallon of mix, tried 87 89 93 octane really no change whatsoever oh yeah the old plug and new plug had a very strong pulsing spark with a blueish purple color any ideas im willing to try anything and always up to learn. thanks for your time Dale

Does it run better or worse if you try to drive around with the choke pulled out 1/3rd to 1/2 way?

D, just an idea. Grab the engine and shake it, a broken
engine mount will cause long, worn belt symptoms.
