Re: how to rebuild bottom end robins
For what you've already spent on it, the $75 is nominal. Get it to the cart shop and then no worries. Plus if something goes wrong with the build you can always go back and knock some heads. If you screw it up, all you can do is beat your own head off the wall. $75 is steep, but if they can have it done in an hour vs. possibly sometime next week, I'd say the cart shop is your best bet.

Agree.
I'll update when something is resolved. Not in a huge hurry as I purchased another working gas cart last week. I just want to get this one back together and see if I want to sell it or hang on to it for awhile. |

I'd like to have a second one myself. That way you got a partner to creep the trails if something breaks or someone runs out of fuel you still got a ride/tow out.

Re: how to rebuild bottom end robins
Well I got my motor back today.
Funny thing is that I had not heard back from the machine shop, so I found some place else to press the case together. I went to the machine shop this afternoon to pick up the motor that they have had for a week and a half without one phone call to tell me if they even could fix it or what the price would be. To my surprise it was sitting there pressed back together and waiting on me. Even bigger surprise was that it only cost me $35. I am a happy happy camper...LO Now to reassemble the rest of the motor and get it fired up. |

Well that works. I forget break in mixture but I'm thinking a tank of 50:1 and you're good. Check around though.

Re: how to rebuild bottom end robins
40:1 first tank then 128:1 will run a bit doggy on the first tank but will wake up on the second at 128:1. After the first tank you may want to replace the plug just because and keep the old one for a spare.
